Welcome, I am glad you are here.
The views I share about Jesus are outside what is allowed by mainstream Christianity and some may even consider them heretical. They are from my personal journey and life experience and I give the reasons I have come to these conclusions.
My journey includes growing up in evangelical Christianity, attending Bible college, spending a decade in full-time ministry, and remaining a devout Christian for decades. It also includes several decades of exploring other spiritual paths. Through all of this, I have come back to a deep love and respect for Jesus. Since my return was outside of the beliefs of any organized religion I put little to no importance on believing the doctrines of the faith but great importance on living by the teachings of Jesus in the red letters of the bible.
I am not a theologian or scholar and do not demand anyone agree with me. I am still learning and open to the reality that I may be wrong in some of my views. My hope is that by sharing what I have learned along the way, often through pain and disappointments, you will find nuggets of truth that will help make your life better.
This site is not about debating doctrine, proselitizing, or persuading anyone to leave or not leave any religion. I know there are sincere, compassionate people in all religious traditions—and outside them too. I encourage you to think for yourself, arriving at your own conclusions. I will respect your right to your belief whether you agree with me or not.
I believe the heart of Jesus’ message to us is often lost in navigating the enormity of the bible, but it is found at the foundation of all religious traditions. If I do no harm and treat you as I would want you to treat me and you reciprocate we will both benefit and according to Jesus that is all we must do to fulfill all that is required of us in this life (Matthew 7:12). Thank you for being here and I pray we can make a better world for all Danny
